Trouvay & Cauvin has been appointed exclusive distributor for the Houston based Tejas Research and Engineering LP for its range of adjustable choke valves. With extensive applications in the upstream oil and gas sector, the valves can be used  specifically as production chokes in oil and gas well-heads and water or gas chokes in secondary recovery maintenance projects.

Backed by considerable experience in the supply of piping, valves and level instrumentation for the oil and gas industry, Trouvay & Cauvin is extending its range of products and bringing expertise to serve the Middle East, Asia and European markets on behalf of Tejas.

Eric Buchanan, Trouvay & Cauvin’s Managing Director says, “Tejas has a strong reputation for innovation in both new product development and consistent performance improvements. Also for the reliability and ease of maintenance of its valves. Combining this with Trouvay & Cauvin’s considerable experience and contacts developed over many years, is a most productive move for both companies.”

The high specification of the choke valves delivers three body sizes for matching flow rate and certain models can operate in working pressures of up to 10,000 psi. An advanced design encompasses features to protect against damage caused by cavitation and erosion. Noise levels are reduced and internal components can be accessed without removing the valve for service.

Maurice Salsa of Tejas comments, “We pride ourselves on product standards and resourcefulness.Worldwide partnerships with like-minded companies such as Trouvay & Cauvin help us to reach our necessary goals much faster.”
