Aker Solutions, global provider of engineering and construction services, utilised the Trouvay & Cauvin Specialist Piping Products (SPP) Division on a recent project at the Vivergo Fuels bio-refinery in Hull. The order was for a range of steam traps including thermostati c, ball float, pumping and drain traps predominantly manufactured by CDB Engineering. Strainers and sight glasses also from CDB and flame arrestors from Elmac made up the order. Both companies are part of the Trouvay & Cauvin Supplier Alliance.

Eric Buchanan, Managing Director of Trouvay & Cauvin UK comments, “Once the technical submissions had been approved we were able to apply our vast experience to project manage the multi-product packages. This ensured completion on time and compliance to all material standards and documentary requirements.”

The Trouvay & Cauv in SPP Division was set up to meet a growing demand for the purchase of these products from one source. Considerable man hours can be saved in procurement whilst compliance is assured. In order  to maintain the integrity of this service, Trouvay & Cauvin has tied up formidable alliances with companies like CDB, Elmac and Sileo.

Eric Buchanan adds, “The Vivergo project shows how this concept works very well in  practice and it is particularly gratifying to be part of the development of a clean fuel technology plant.”
